1946 : Born in Ovar.
1973 : Defines his painting by approximation to writing, and later the author writes poetry and publishes books.
1974 From this year on, he began to hold individual exhibitions in several Portuguese cities such as Leiria, Porto, Ovar, Coimbra, Lisbon, Aveiro, Gondomar, among others.
1976 : Graduated in Fine Arts, in the Painting course, at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto, after completing his military service. He received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
1979 : Holds a solo exhibition at the Modulo Gallery, in Porto.
1980 : Starts to participate regularly in international exhibitions of Postal Art and Visual Poetry and carries out works in mail art.
1992 : Published his first book, ECUTAR AS MÃOS, an album of drawings with a poem by Eugénio de Andrade, edited by the author.
2005 : His latest work in visual poetry is included in the 10th edition of the international Fax for Peace contest, Fax for Tolerance, in Spilimberga, Italy.
2006 : Participated in the monument to boxer Santa Camarão, located in Largo Santa Camarão, in Ovar.
2008: Carried out his latest mail art project, with Projet Mail Art Africa – Sallanches, France.
2009: Participated in exhibitions at Fundação D. Luís I - Cascais Cultural Center and at CINANIMA, at the Espinho International Animation Festival.
2009: His most recent group exhibition takes place at Arte Lisboa, Contemporary Art Fair, represented by Galeria Valbom.
